Pastosa Pizza Rustica Italian Easter Pie

A traditional Italian Easter pie also called Pizza Rustica. Ours is handmade once a year during the Easter season. This savory meat pie is a staple appetizer in our home on Easter Sunday. Filled with a mixture of eggs, ricotta, and various Italian cured meats and cheeses.

WHAT'S INSIDE
One 9x6x2" fully-cooked rectangular pie (15 ounces)

HOW TO STORE
The pizza rustica ships frozen with ice packs and may thaw during transit. Store in the freezer for up to 3 months. 

HOW TO COOK (defrost in refrigerator prior to serving): The pie arrives fully cooked and shrink wrapped. Once the pie is defrosted, remove from the wrapping and place in an oven safe dish/tray.  Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and warm through for approximately 15-20 minutes. Pizza Rustica can also be served cold or at room temperature. If you prefer it this way, simply defrost it in your refrigerator.  Prior to serving, remove the packaging and cut into slices approximately 1" thick.
